Summary
Sara got not only got arrested for being at the wrong place at the wrong time but she was connected to the stabbing of Dirk Wallace, which was the guy that China had stole from in the beginning of the book. He was found dead in a dark alley on June 5 at around 2:35 am, Justine and Sara was both around the area and also Sara had her knife on her so they think that she was the one who stabbed him. What she explained was that she gave Mr. Wallace CPR and then ripped off a piece of her dress and dressed his wound. Justine is still on the lose expect now she is in Greece and Sara is in Juvie because of the stabbed man. The fact that Justine is gone she can finally move on in her life and face her consequences.

Reaction
I feel as though Sara went from being at home with her father, and her father leaving her by herself and her going off on her own, she still hasn't really grown up yet. I feel as though she is now able to know what the point of extreme was when it came to taking drugs and the things she did with the older men, but she is still confused. Now the end of the book is here, I'm still wondering will Sara ever know what's good for her and figure out what she wants?

The Torn Skirt (117-156)
Summary
Sara's life is now taking a turn down the wrong path. She is now drinking liquor and taking speed, I think that shes giving up on herself because she is going down to a lower level. When Sara was in a house called the blue house, a guy with a gun, who she met in the house, told her to go dance with an old man, after dancing with him she saw a girl that was a good dancer and she went to get closer so that she could start to dance like her, as she got closer to the girl, she realized that she was looking at herself in the mirror. She notice that she was a good dancer and she thought to herself that she wanted to be friends with a girl just like her. Sara must now be comfortable with the kind of person she is since she wants to be friends with someone that's just like her. Sara got arrested for being in the wrong place at the wrong time with possession of a knife. Her life is now going from bad to worse.

Reaction
When I read this quote, I felt as if she really didn't know what she was talking about because, shes drinking, smoking and doing other types of drugs. She is also hanging out with older men and doing things that children should not be doing. So when she said that she saw some things that she was too young to see, that didn't make any sense to me. She shouldn't be seeing or experiencing any of the things she is seeing and doing at this point.

The Torn Skirt (79-117)
Summary
Sara is now living on the rooftop of King's hotel. That rooftop was where her and China escaped to after robbing a guy of his money and dropping his wallet from the rooftop to the ground. Sara now has this idea to cut her hair and put a rip in her skirt so that she wouldn't be recognized by people. She wasn't eating, the last time she had a meal was when her father cooked for her before he left. All shes been doing is smoking and doing cocaine and walking the streets trying to look for Justine since China ran back to her family. After Sara was found passed out on the bathroom floor of a place called Le Gardin, a man called the street outreach worker and they put her in a place called the White Oaks, which is the temporary shelter for troubled girls.

When I read this quote i felt as if Sara was doing the same exact thing as Amber, her room mate was doing to her. The more she told Amber to go away the more Amber came back. I feel as though in a way Justine is trying to tell Sara to leave her alone and running away from her but every time Sara sees Justine again she tries to follow her and go where ever she goes but shes not getting the point that Justine doesn't want to be bothered with her.
