Summary
In the ending of Unmasked, the author, Ian Halperin went undercover as several people in order to speak with Michael Jackson. He went undercover as a hair stylist, a male model and many many more. When he finally got a chance to meet up with Jackson, he was with his kids undercover as well, Halperin mentioned that Jackson put his hand over his and was looking into his eyes saying that his blue eyes reminded him of Frank Sinatra. Halperin also mentioned that he thought that Jackson was hitting him and he felt uncomfortable. Also Michael Jackson had the disease called Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. What this disease does is it causes the breakdown of a substance in the body that protects tissues from emphysema, it is also gotten from genetics. they found out that Michael Jackson had this disorder because there was a photograph taken of Jackson in a wheelchair with a surgical mask over his face. at the every end of the book it talked about how Michael Jackson's death was caused by greed.
Quotation
As Dr. Arnold Klein said, " He said no, but his people are trying to force it on him. He's that close to losing everything" (Halperin 213).
Reaction
When I seen this quote, it jumped out at me. the reason being is because how I interpreted this quote was when your in the music business or any business like Michael Jackson, he don't really control your schedule any more. your people tell you when and where and how you do things, you cant decide for yourself, your life belongs in your manager or who evers hands. Just because you decide one day that your sick and you don't want to go on stage, if your people tell you, you have to than that's what you have to do. My whole reaction to the book is to leave Michael alone, I think that Jackson has been threw a lot of things in his life and now that he has past away, I think its time to let him Rest In Peace and leave him alone.
