Summary
Many allegations come up about Michael Jackson while reading pages 41-80. But there was some facts that still kept Michael from being charged with molesting Jordan Chandler and going to jail. Some of those facts where that at the time that Jordan's father was asking him questions about what happened between him and Michael Jackson, sources prove that Jordan was under a drug called sodium amytal. What the drug did was it made you think that things happened to you when they really didn't. On the other hand when Jordan was not drugged, they asked him the same questions and he answered them the same way he did when he was supposedly drugged. Now there was a question on whether he was on the drug or if he was not. Jordan explained to the police that he could describe all the parts of Michael Jackson's genital parts, and he did. Other people try to prove that Jordan was lying and he was put up to it, so his father could get money. Of course there was always a crowd that stood behind Michael and they brought up the point that Michael and Jordan were in the pool together at his Neverland ranch and they were also in the same room so there could have been a possibility that Michael was just changing in front of Jordan and it wasn't meant to be in a sexual way.
Quotation
Ian Halperin mentioned, "To his defenders, he was a tireless crusader whose single minded quest has been to protect children from a monster" (Halperin 47)
Reaction
This quote got my attention because Michael Jackson, again really didn't have a childhood, he never got to play like normal kids. To him his monster was probably his father because his father was the one who put him into the whole music business and took away his freedom to be a child. His father made him grow up quick and start thinking about adult things at a very very young age. To his defenders he was just a guy who wanted to protect all the kids from someone trying to take over there lives and taking away their chance of living childhood and being a kid. He was in no means trying to hurt them but help them to be a child and enjoy their time as being a child.
